The stage is a collaboration between a storyteller, a puppet theater, and a chanson.
There is a storyteller at the bottom and a jazz musician at the top.
My senior colleague asked me if I would like to draw a picture on the back panel.
This time, I decided to draw it.
The jazz musician's background has a European feel, and the storyteller's background has a Japanese feel.
When you think of Europe, do you think of the Eiffel Tower and street lights? ?
So, I decided to draw the background with the image of musicians playing on the street.
The storyteller discussed whether plum blossoms would be a good choice for the season as it has a Japanese image.
I went to Nagahama, where my mother's parents live, and looked at the plums at the Bon Plum Exhibition.
I drew a plum tree based on a picture of a sliding door that my late grandfather had left as a reference for his hobby of ink painting.
When I was drawing in the workshop, I remembered when my grandpa used to draw.
It felt like we were drawing together, and there was a moment when I thought it was my grandpa coming down.
It's a picture of a stage set, so I had to think about the position of the band and the storyteller, and where I wanted the background to be.
I thought it had to be an impressive picture,
It was really difficult to draw a picture based on the drawing and dimensions I received.
There is also a sparrow perched on the plum tree, but I had to express the picture in black and white, so
When I was drawing it, it looked like a pigeon, so I thought a lot about how I could make it look like a sparrow.
I had a lot of trouble because it was my first experience.
On the day of the event, when the panel appeared on stage, I was extremely moved.
The stage progressed rapidly in front of my picture,
Moreover, for the actual performance, I was assigned to the lighting staff to do the main spot, so
Well, in a sense, I felt like I was the main character (lol)
Under such circumstances, I was able to experience the reactions of the customers, such as laughing and crying, on-site.
It felt really good! !
At the launch, everyone applauded for a job well done, and the performers were happy as well.
Stages are created by everyone from scratch, and this stage was a particularly collaborative stage, so
We had many meetings to discuss how everyone could make this stage a good one.
The passion that was put into the stage of each session was flying like sparks,
During the actual performance, this was a stage performance that was so brilliant that I was drawn into it.
Collaboration is what we call a session in music.
On the contrary, the discoveries and instability that emerge from nothing were really interesting!
At first, I started drawing as a hobby, but from my friends and seniors who looked at my drawings, I started painting as a hobby.
What if we held an exhibition like that next time? Or, I was asked about the CD jacket.
This time, we even received a picture of the stage set,
Through my many encounters, I have been given more and more opportunities to try new things,
I'm very fulfilled every day now.
I am truly blessed with the people around me☆
Thank you to everyone involved in this time.
thank you very much.
